CORDILLERA AUTONOMOUS REGION (CAR)

Isneg live in the northwestern tip of the cordillera mountains.They are close neighbors to the Kalinga,Tingguan and Ifugao.They have cultural similarities and only the language differ.This tribe is very fond of tobacco.Isneg were described as of slender and graceful structure,with manners that were kind,hospitable and generous.possessed with the spirit and self reliance and courage and clearly artistic in their temperament.The Isnegs main staple foods is rice which they have traditionally produced in abundance.This is raised through slash-and-burn agriculture.The spiritual world of the Isneg is populated by more than 300 anitos who assume various forms.There are actually no Gods or hierarchical deitiesin the other world of Isneg ,only good or bad spirits.
The Tingguian,a group of pagan people inhabiting the interior hills of Abra,Abras inhabitants are mostly descendants of Ilocano settlers and members of Tingguian tribe.Due to frequent intermarriages between the two cultures.Many Ilocanos today are actually Christianized Tingguians.Although many have embraced Catholicism,some Abrans still believe in ancient and supernatural spirits to this day.Most Tingguians are farmers who tend rice in kaingins and rice terraces.They also weave baskets and blankets.The predominant language are Ilocano and Tingguian.
The most prominent of the mountain people.They are known collectively as Igorots,actually consisting of the major groups.The Ifugaos and Bontocs are the most advanced.The ancestors built the famous riceterraces over 2000 years ago without the aid of metal tools.the Ifugao have riddles wich sreve entertain and at the same time educate the young.Ifugao proverbs are used to give advice to the young.Ifugao also have tales and epics.Epics are chanted romances recounting the origin of people,the life and adventure of Ifugao hero.The Hudhud is chanted while working in the field or during funeral rites.The Hudhud is recognized as a ''Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible heritage of Humanity''.
Bontoc social literature aims to communicate ideas or attitudes to others at certain social occasions.Bontoc literature expresses the Bontoc world view and reflects their collective history.The Bontoc believe in the anitos or spiritsof their ancestors and in spirits dwelling in nature,but they are essentially monotheistic.
The Mountain Province of Benguet is the home of the Kankana-Ey.Men wear the traditional G-STRING.ornamentation by tattooing of the arm is popular among both sexes.Kankanay villages are locaetd near the headwaters of the stream or river.Slopes of hills or mountains are leveled to allow the houses to be built.
The Kalinga stand tall and are of Malayan heritage.In the past,they were feared for their head hunting activities.The Kalinga and other Cordillera people are believed to have arrived in separate migrations from the Southeastern and Eastern Asia.Ullalim are ballads that narrate the heroic exploits of culture heroes which also emphasize the bravery and pride of Kaling people.

Biag ni Lam-Ang

A story is all about the story of Lam-ang, his parents named Don Juan Panganiban and Namongan. Namongan gave birth to a baby boy with both the power of speech and an unusual physical form. This is definitely a miracle because in this world no man in this world have the power of speech when newly born. Maybe before 3 years old can speak a one person. Lam-ang is very unique.Untill he heard about the beautiful maiden named Ines Kannoyan daughter of richest man of the town of Kalanutian. He fell in love with the girl so that he decided to marry her. Eventhough they face many obstacles, they lived happily ever after.

Maybe yes or maybe no...By the way Im Jessa Arcilla Catipon,daughter of Mr. Yole and Mrs. Edith Catipon,second to the eldest.Incoming 19 years old.Some of my friend call me Jess or Jessa.I was born in Batangas on September 09, 1989.This place I finish my highschool and elementary.But in college my father decided to take my college in Manila here in Mandaluyong.I have two brothers and one sister.Now Im 3rd year college taking up BSOA-Office Management here in Rizal Technological University together with my sister.While my two brothers are highschool here in Mandaluyong also.My father occupation is displayer in one of the supermarket here in Mandaluyong while my mother is a housewife.We spent our vacation in the province of Batangas because all of our cousines and relatives are their.I am very excited to go their because almost 5 months that Im not go their.I have a boyfriend named Ranjie Dagmil from Ilo-Ilo but now he lived in Quezon City.He is very quiet person,nice,industrious,5"10 in height, and also very good in cooking.I love him very much.I am very shy person,moody,sometimes naughty,lazy and also nice person.I like love song.My hobbies are texting,watching tv,eat delicious food,and sometimes read some books.I like blue color,and also striped dress.Maybe this is my collection?...I dont like computer because Im not interested.I want in the house always.Sometimes I am arguing with my mother and sister because Im naughty.Dogs and cat are my favorite pets because they are cute.I have no sport.And lastly,I want to finish my studies so that I will help to my parents.I'll do my best so that I will graduate.I am very thankful to the Almighty God that I have a simple family like that.Thanks........
